Return and Refund Policy
This Return and Refund Policy governs all purchases from STATESIDE NOVA LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operating the store at statesidenova.com.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Returns requested more than 30 days after delivery cannot be accepted for any reason other than a defective or incorrect item covered under "Damages and Issues" below.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging, including any manufacturer's box, inserts, or protective materials. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Your return request must be submitted within 30 days of delivery. All returned items are subject to inspection upon arrival. If an item is returned used, damaged through no fault of ours, or missing its original packaging or components, we may reduce your refund to reflect the item's diminished value or, where the item cannot be resold, decline the refund. In that case the item will not be returned to you unless you request it and cover return shipping.
Starting a Return
To start a return, you can contact us at hello@statesidenova.com. If your return is accepted, we'll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@statesidenova.com.
Return Shipping and Restocking Fees
For eligible returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a defective item (see Damages and Issues below). Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
Because our products are fulfilled by a range of independent suppliers, some items are subject to a restocking fee of up to 20% of the item's purchase price. Any applicable restocking fee will be disclosed to you when your return is authorized, before you ship the item back, and will be deducted from your refund.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item. We will evaluate the issue and make it right at no additional cost to you, including covering any return shipping required.
Buyer's Remorse (Changed Mind / Wrong Size)
We understand that sometimes an item isn't quite what you expected or you may need a different size. We gladly accept returns for buyer's remorse within the 30-day window. For these returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, and any applicable restocking fee (disclosed at the time your return is authorized) will apply.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. We cannot accept returns on:
- Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items such as printed shirts)
- Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants)
- Personal care goods (such as beauty products)
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
- Batteries and items containing lithium-ion batteries, where prohibited from return shipping by carrier regulations
- Sale items or gift cards
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not, along with the amount, reflecting any applicable restocking fee or shipping deduction. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
